Beat the Winter Blues with Zumba: Women's Fitness in Buffalo and Western New York

Beat the Winter Blues with Zumba: Women's Fitness in Buffalo and Western New York
It's hard to keep up the motivation to exercise during a cold winter.
With the warm blankets and so many tasty treats, sometimes you'd rather just stay in bed.
But piling on those pounds can slow you down physically and bring you down mentally. So it's crucial to take measures to stay active and happy.
WNY MMA & Fitness added zumba classes to their class repertoire at the turn of the new year. Women's Fitness in Buffalo and Western New York members now have the option to mix in zumba classes with their regular fitness memberships, or to buy a zumba only membership.
"Zumba is a great and fun way to stay in shape. It gets the blood moving and the mouths smiling! It's a great way to stay in shape mentally and physically during the winter because it's always hot in Zumba! said Becky Newcombe, Zumba Instructor.

Women's Self Defense Seminar: Women's Fitness in Buffalo and Western New York

Women's Self Defense Seminar: Women's Fitness in Buffalo and Western New York

  • Every 2 minutes, another American is sexually assaulted
  • In 2010 92 percent of rape or sexual assault victims were female.
  • Nearly 1 in 5—or 22 million—women in the United States have been raped in their lifetimes.
Statistics like this can be scary. This is why it is important for women to know how to defend themselves.

WNY MMA & Fitness, Women's Fitness in Buffalo and Western New York, presents a Women's Self Defense Seminar this Sunday, January 12th at 11am.

Women will learn and practice a number of self defense techniques from our top coaches in jiu-jitsu and kickboxing. Refreshments to follow. All proceeds will go to our local philanthropy "Bustin' Ours to Save His" Benefit for Nathan Grisanti.

Registration is $20 and is now open. We encourage you to pre-register as spots are limited and will go on a first come, first serve basis. You can check the event page and get more info about it here.

This event is open to the public and all are welcome.
